Description
THE BOOK
This book Bold Leap, is an inspirational story of a woman of exceptional talent and indomitable spirit. The book takes us on a tour of her spectacular life as a significant broadcaster, a notable print media journalist and administrator who had the audacity to sink her feet into the murky waters of Nigerian politics.
The robust and truthful performance of her magazine, The Sunday Magazine (TSM) brought her into an epic confrontation with the sadistic Sani Abacha regime which brought false charges against her and threw her into prison unjustly. But she remained unfazed and exhibited the exceptional courage of a titan.
With gutsy and rugged bravado, Anyanwu dived into the minefield of Nigerian politics winning a Senate seat twice in two different parties. The book also gives us fascinating insights into political voodooism in Nigeria and lifts the veil on the intricacies of election chicanery and subterfuge, all of which make the book a collector’s item.
