Peace, Security and Development Studies interrogates the challenges facing Peace, Security and Development Education and simplifies the efforts being applied against the challenges of negative peace, insecurity and underdevelopment in general. It introduces both the student and the teacher to the intricacies of the subject and serves as a therapy for professionals, organisations and individuals in these areas.


Dr. Adedoyin Adedayo is a graduate of University of Ibadan, Nigeria; where he obtained at different times the B.Sc., M.A and Ph.D. degrees. His Ph.D. research work was under the United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL). Adedayo is the pioneer staff, coordinator and senior lecturer in the Peace and Conflict Studies Programme, College of General and Communication Studies, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State, Nigeria.

He is the Associate Editor of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture’s Journal of Social/Management Sciences and Humanities. He developed the Peace and Conflict Studies Curricula on General Studies, Bachelor’s degree, Certificate Course in Terrorism and Displacement Studies, Masters degree in Peace and Conflict Studies for the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike. He has served as member of Senate Committee on Examinations/Timetable, and Chairman, College of General and Communication Studies Examination/Timetable Committee for 6 years and 8 months. He is a Research Mentor to many young academics and Seminar Moderator, College Board Representative and Discussant on Governance and Peacebuilding (Television and Workshop Programme). He has served in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as a Collation Officer in Abia State.

Dr. Adedoyin is a peace practitioner specialising in Governance and Peacebuilding. He has published in many reputable academic journals on Governance, Peacebuilding, Security, Development, Global Unrest and Terrorism, Democratic System, Genocide, Gender and Peacebuilding, Cultural Relativity in Conflict Prevention and Management, Ethnic and Religious Crisis, Globalisation, Weapon Proliferation, Armed Conflict and War Guilt, etc..
