Over recent years, insurgencies have reviler in the world’s political consciousness. In the Nigerian State at present, there is a rising insurgency attributed to many factors, which has given rise to militants or rebel groups. Insurgencies, by their nature, are complex, dynamic, and adaptive. They can rapidly shift, split, combine, or reorganize. The twenty-first Century is typified by a volatile international environment,  persistent conflicts, and increasing state fragility. Long-standing external and internal tensions tend to exacerbate or create grievances within some states resulting in insurgency or political strife. The insurgency remains a threat to the corporate existence of any state. Therefore, all hands must be on deck to end insurgency in the Nigerian State particularly and the world in general.
