Description

Danish businessman, Frank Grabowski, accepts a job as managing director of a car assembly plant in Nigeria with some scepticisrm. He has previously worked in West Africa and knows that there are always plenty of challenges awaiting in this part of the world. Nevertheless, it surprises Frank that, shortly after his arrival, people in the company and amongst his acquaintances experience dangerous and violent incidents. Not quite sure whether it is coincidence or a threat to his position as managing director, he tries to navigate the inflammatory situation which is aggravated further by corruption, fraud, armed robberies and kidnappings. Eventually, Frank understands the full picture and a definitive showdown with his adversaries is inevitable.

About Kim Rasmussen

Kim H. Rasmussen was born in Denmark in 1957 and started his career as a shipping trainee with The East Asiatic Company in 1977. From 1991l to 2012 and again in 2015-2017, he lived and worked – primarily as a managing director of private companies – in Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Tanzania and Ghana. He is now based in Denmark and works as a business consultant, author and public speaker. These experiences have given Kim H. Rasmussen a solid knowledge of life on the African continent and particularly how to be successful in a very different – and sometimes extremely challenging- business environment.
