Toyin Falola is one of Africa’s most distinguished historians. He holds the Jacob and Frances Sanger Mossiker Chair in the Humanities at the University of Texas at Austin. As a globally renowned scholar, he has held several professorial roles at different universities. He mentors numerous scholars – young and old, across the global landscape, most especially African and African American scholars. He has authored and edited over two hundred books on African history, politics, culture, and the diaspora. His contributions have earned him numerous awards and twenty-eight honorary doctorates. He holds chieftaincy titles, including the Bobapitan of Ibadanland.
