ABOUT THE AUTHOR
A graduate of Information and Media Studies from Bayero University Kano, Dahiru M. Lawal is a development Journalist, media strategist, investigative reporter per excellence and fact-checking specialist.
Dahiru is also a PRNigeria member of staff. He is coordinator Penlight Centre for New Media Innovation and Network of Advocates for Digital Reporting (NADIR).
A recipient of campus journalist of the year 2020, and 2021 overall best West African Fellow on the Kwame Kari Kari Research and Fact Checking Fellowship, Lawal has contributes several well-researched article and investigative reports to major national dailies and online media platforms.
He is a 2021 fellow International Centre for Investigative Reporting (ICIR-OCRP), 2021 Fact-Checking and Research Fellow, Dubawa, Premium Times Center Investigative
Journalism. He also serves as Fellow International Center for Journalists, African Academy for Open Source Intelligence (AAOSI), coordinator Arewa Agenda for sustainable development, board member Young Support Foundation (YSF).
