THE BOOK
The book offers well articulated perspectives of a young Nigerian writer over the National Security Strategy (NSS).

It analyses contemporary issues in reinforcing contents of the NSS, which was released by the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) in 2019.

The NSS aims at ensuring that Nigeria’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, national interests, the well-being of the people and the country’s institutions are preserved, protected and enhanced.

The topics in the book are spread in six chapters: Enhancing Response; Counterterrorism; Efforts at Sustainable Development; Socio-Economic Factors; Soft Approach programmes; Cybersecurity and Emerging Challenges;

THE AUTHOR
Born on November 7, 1994, Mukhtar Ya’u Madobi attended Madobi Iya Special Primary School 1999-2005 and Alhaji Akilu Comprehensive Islamic Secondary School 2005-2011.

After obtaining a First Class Degree in Botany in 2015, he bagged a Master of Science Degree with specialization in Ethno Medicine in 2021 all from Bayero University Kano.

With a passion for Writing and Journalism, the author joined Image Merchant Promotion Limited (IMPR), publishers of PRNigeria and Emergency Digest as a Staff Writer in May 2021 from where he contributes regular articles on security and socio-economic issues.

Madobi also attended International Institute of Journalism, Abuja, where he obtained Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism in 2022.

Some his works have been published in National Dailies including Daily Trust, The Guardian, The Nation, The Punch, Tribune, and Vanguard among others.
