Description
It is an account of audacious efforts of a first-class military officer, unrepentant nationalist and uncompromising intellectual who unknowingly found himself within the intrigues and conspiratorial web of self-centred political contractors. At the cost of his life, he chose to combat the pervasive, insidious and dehumanising political machinations that characterised the later years of the Abacha regime.
Destiny Anchored on Faith: The Story of Gen. Oladipo Diya is written with two aims in mind. First, to dispassionately present the facts of the issues and events that confronted Gen. Diya and what informed the choices of policy options he adopted or failed to adopt Second, to stimulate an innovative, creative and agenda-setting debate on entrenching a purposeful, dynamic and constructive leadership in Nigeria.
