Colonel Francis Adetunji Babatunde (rtd) was commissioned 2Lt on graduation from the Nigeria Defence Academy on 15 December 1974. He was deployed to the Nigeria Army Ordnance Corps (NAOC), a major Combat Services Corps of the Nigerian Army. He held various staff and command appointments in the NAOC. He commands Ordnance Field Park (OFP) Ikot Ekpene and later in Calabar. He was senior stores Officer in Central Ordnance Depot, Yaba Lagos, and later as the commander of Central Vehicle Depot, Ojo-Lagos. He also served as Chief Instructor, Management Courses Wing in NAOC Training school, Out of Ordnance, he was Directing Staff (DS) Senior Division Command and Staff College, Jaji-Kaduna (1993 to 1996) and later Director of Logistics and Procurement in National War College (now National Defence College), Abuja (1998 to 2001). He attended various military Courses in Nigeria, USA and Pakistan.
